Shoulders, Neck & Back! – Yin Yoga & Myofascial Release with Dominique Preston

In this popular workshop we’ll be working through a practice that will access all areas of the shoulder complex and surrounding areas, including the neck and back.

Combining the nurturing qualities of Yin Yoga & the healing benefits of Myofascial Release we’ll be working to help release tension and tightness in and around the upper body. Typically this area gets overworked on a daily basis from daily tasks such as computer work, mobile phone use, driving and repetitive daily movements
It also tends to be the area of our body where most of us hold stress.

Similar to a traditional yin yoga session we’ll be gently stretching and accessing the deeper aspects of the body with long held seated yin postures, as well as working with eastern movement practices, lovely undulating, spiralling and free, fluid movement, direct myofascial release and mindfulness, all helping to stimulate and release tension and energetic blockages held within the meridian pathways and the fascial network system.

Yin Fascial Yoga is perfect for those who prefer a slower form of yoga and works as a complementary practice for those used to a more physically active yoga style.
